FREQUENTLY ASKED Questions
- Will my child receive academic monitoring and support after school?
- Yes. Our academic coordinators regularly review grades, and your child will receive help during their nightly prep sessions, too. In their core academic courses, your child will be guided by content area specialists, and they can have 1:1 sessions if necessary. Your child’s teachers will also be available both before and after school for extra tuition and direction.
- How will I stay informed about my child’s academic performance?
- Our schools’ online platforms are entirely accessible to parents. You can monitor and receive updates about your child’s assignments, grades, and teacher communication. Our academic coordinators will also be in touch if they spot anything they think you’d want to know about, and work with you to keep your child's learning on track.
- Is there preparation for classes prior to the school year?
- Before your child begins the new year, they’ll receive an extensive orientation to ensure they’re comfortable and ready for their first day. We also offer a parent orientation, so you can find out more about our programmes and have your questions answered.
- Will my child have a roommate?
- Dorms accommodate two students per room, and 8–12 students per suite. Roommates are assigned based on their age and gender. As an international schools group, we always strive to ensure every suite is home to students of several nationalities. We can also provide students with individual rooms.
- What will my child do at the weekend?
- Weekends mean an array of trips for our students, which are free to sign up for. Our trips are designed to give them precious time to just be a teenager, while offering them a variety of cultural experiences. Students may also be signed out from campus for approved activities, including parental visits, and are also encouraged to recommend any trips they’d like to attend.
- How does signing out work?
- Parents must give their child permission to leave campus with either a day student or a campus parent. Parents can also grant permission for their child to walk off campus or take the local community bus. Your child will be shown how to submit a leave request, and are allowed to sign out after school on weekdays. They must return for prep time or curfew, depending on their academic standings.
- How do students get involved with after-school activities?
- Our campuses offer a multitude of school-sponsored clubs, including fine arts, drama, musical productions, dance, choirs, debating, and rock bands! Students can also try out for athletics and sports teams.
